Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026
David Caruso ("we," "us," or "our"), operating TrueProfit at wafclaw.com, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over your data. This policy applies to all users of TrueProfit software and the wafclaw.com website.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account and Purchase Information
When you purchase TrueProfit, your payment is processed by Paddle.com as our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and stores your name, email address, billing address, and payment information in accordance with their own privacy policy. We receive from Paddle: your name, email address, and a transaction reference number — sufficient to issue your license and provide support.
1.2 Shopify Store Data
TrueProfit connects to your Shopify store via the official Shopify API. We read the following data from your store:
- Order data: order ID, line items, item prices, quantities, discounts, shipping amounts, payment fees, refund records, and order timestamps
- Product and variant data: SKUs, product titles, variant titles, and variant IDs (used to map your COGS costs)
- Store settings: currency and timezone (used for display purposes)
We do not access customer names, customer email addresses, customer shipping addresses, or any payment card details from Shopify orders. We access only the financial and product data needed to calculate profit.
1.3 Advertising Platform Data
If you connect Meta Ads or Google Ads, we read your advertising spend data: campaign names, ad set names, daily spend, impressions, and clicks. We do not access your ad creative content, audience targeting data, or any personal data from your advertising audiences.
1.4 COGS Data You Provide
If you upload a COGS CSV or enter product costs manually, we store that data to apply it to your profit calculations. This data belongs to you and is accessible only within your TrueProfit account.
1.5 Support Communications
If you contact us at support@wafclaw.com, we retain the content of your email and your email address in order to respond to your inquiry and maintain a support history.
1.6 Website Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools on wafclaw.com to understand how visitors use the site (e.g., page views, referral sources). We do not use advertising tracking pixels or cross-site tracking on this website.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the data we collect to:
- Calculate and display net profit per order, per product, and per day in your TrueProfit dashboard
- Issue and verify your software license
- Provide email support and respond to your inquiries
- Send product update notifications (you may opt out at any time)
