About TrueProfit

What exactly does TrueProfit do?
TrueProfit is a profit analytics app for Shopify merchants. It calculates your real net profit per order, per product, and per day — after deducting Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), shipping costs, Shopify transaction fees, payment processing fees, refunds, and ad spend from Meta and Google. The goal is one accurate number: actual profit kept, not just revenue earned.
Who is TrueProfit for?
TrueProfit is built for Shopify store owners of any size — from solo merchants doing their first $10k/month to established brands doing seven figures. If you sell products on Shopify and want to know your actual profit margin, TrueProfit is for you.
Does TrueProfit replace my Shopify reports?
No — it complements them. Shopify's native reports show revenue, order counts, and surface-level financials. TrueProfit layers in the cost data that Shopify can't track (your supplier costs, ad spend, shipping rates) to calculate net profit. You'll still use Shopify for order management and fulfillment.
Does TrueProfit work with all Shopify plans?
Yes. TrueProfit connects to any Shopify store on any plan, including Basic, Grow, Advanced, and Shopify Plus.
Does TrueProfit sync historical data or only new orders?
Both. When you connect your store, TrueProfit imports your historical order data. Once you upload your COGS, profit figures are calculated retroactively for past orders too. Going forward, new orders are synced in real time.

Setup & Integration

How do I connect my Shopify store?
After purchase, you'll receive access credentials and an installation guide. You install TrueProfit from the Shopify App Store (or via direct install link), authorize it with your store, and the initial sync begins automatically. Setup takes about 5 minutes.
How does the Meta Ads integration work?
You connect your Meta Ads account via OAuth — you're redirected to Facebook, authorize TrueProfit to read your ad account data, and that's it. TrueProfit pulls daily spend for each campaign and ad set automatically from that point forward.
How does the Google Ads integration work?
Same OAuth flow as Meta. Authorize TrueProfit to read your Google Ads data, and daily spend syncs automatically. You can connect multiple Google Ads accounts if needed.
How do I import my Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)?
You can upload a CSV file with two columns: SKU and cost per unit (in USD). TrueProfit maps those costs to your Shopify product variants by SKU and applies them to every matching order. You can also enter costs manually in the app's product settings.

Billing & Licensing

How does billing work?
Checkout is handled by Paddle.com, our authorized Merchant of Record. Paddle processes your payment, issues your receipt, and manages all billing. You'll see "Paddle.com" on your bank or card statement. For any billing questions or issues, contact Paddle directly at help@paddle.com.
Is this really a one-time payment?
Yes. $198 USD, paid once. There are no monthly fees, no annual renewals, and no surprise charges. You get lifetime use of the software on one Shopify store.
What does the $198 license include?
The license includes: full access to all TrueProfit features, use on one Shopify store, lifetime access to the software, and 12 months of product updates and email support.
What happens after the 12 months of updates?
The software keeps working indefinitely — it won't stop or degrade. The 12-month period covers active development updates and support. After 12 months you'll have the version you have.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. Paddle is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant — the highest level of payment security certification. We never see or store your card number. All payment data is handled exclusively by Paddle.

Refunds & Support

What is the refund policy?
TrueProfit comes with a 14-day unconditional money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied within 14 days of purchase — for any reason at all — you get a full refund. No conditions, no exceptions, no partial refunds with fees taken out. Contact Paddle at help@paddle.com to request your refund.
Who do I contact for a refund?
Refunds are handled by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Email help@paddle.com with your order number and request a refund. Paddle will process it within the standard timeframe for your payment method (typically 5–10 business days).
How do I get support?
Email us at support@wafclaw.com. We respond to all emails within 1–2 business days. For billing questions (refunds, receipts, payment issues), contact Paddle at help@paddle.com.

Data & Privacy

What data does TrueProfit access from my Shopify store?
TrueProfit reads: order data (line items, amounts, fees, refunds), product and variant data (for COGS mapping), and shipping information on orders. It does not access customer personal data beyond what is embedded in the order record.
Is my store data secure?
Yes. All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption. We do not sell, share, or license your store data to third parties. Your data is used exclusively to calculate profit figures within TrueProfit.
Is TrueProfit GDPR compliant?
We collect only the data necessary to provide the service, store it securely, and do not share it with unauthorized third parties. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing support@wafclaw.com.
